I saw some trends in our generation's ideas for society.As you know,China is a country which has the most population in the world.Many years ago,most of families want at least 4 children.But now more and more families become DINKs especially people who was born in 80s.So China's aging population has intensified.

I saw some trends in our generation's ideas for society.I found a decreasing of respecting elders's.The Chinese government has consistently fostered the Chinese national tradition of respect for the old, love for the young and harmonious relations in the family.Bur now more and more people think that career success ia more important.
As we all know the environment is one of the most important topic in the world.

The factory poured the dirty water into the river.The goverment is serious to the environment.The country made many laws to protect the environment.But mang people don't obey the laws.This is a very serious problem.
People of our class think that for women, having a successful career is more important than having children. In former times in korea, having children is thinked important thing for women. But In my generation, having a successful career is thinked important thing.

Just as we know this year October 1 is 60th birthday of my country.After 60 years my country had and some tremendous development .People's lives getting better and better.Development of the city there are many traditional things still did not change.
such as our Spring Festival.
We must graduate college in Korea. Almost adults discrimination between a university student and a high school graduate student.

Therefore we studied hard at nineteen.
sometimes a few high school students suiside because of low grade from an examination.
But this system perhaps don't change.
people of our class think that for Science is some more valauable than Art (54% vs 46)
ReplyDeleteof course, in the past, A lot of interest in science but, nowadays, korean increased interest in art
so, nowadays koean is interested in fashion
especially, Unique fashion is getting a lot of interest
(unique accessory, wear, cab..etc)
So maybe in the future,increase interest of art
2A class's students and all the Native english students think similary except one question which is 'Family loyalty is more important than romantic love'. More than 50% of our 2A class students think that romantic love is more important but whole survey data says that more than 50% of total native class students

After I saw the this results, I saw some trend in our generation's idea. One of the impressive thing is our generations
think that Experience is more important than the Education. This result is very interesting because korea has been very academical cliquism society since long time ago.
So many our parents think that education is very essential for students to success in the future. And this trends makes many private institutes. In spite of this old trends,
it is very impressive that our generation think experience is more important. And I am able to feel our society is changing.

In Chinese ancient times, women can not read,
just obey her husband on the line.
However, modern society, every woman has their own successful career, and even far more than men!
China has five thousand years of history, there are many Chinese tradition continues today!
Such as , the traditional festivals - Spring Festival , Dragon Boat Festival,
the traditional culture - Confucianism, Taoism, traditional clothing - Tang suit, Cheongsam, traditional ideas - respect for teachers and so on .
There are still in today's society, and so widely circulated.
May become unstable energy prices in the world, the problem is recognized as a serious social problem.

ReplyDeleteI think Korean society is a remarkable change. So many people change their adieas. Korea is sudden change during the past 60 year. And than through industrial development and information society, Korea is continuous development. Because of the development, change Korean thinking and life style. Show Social Trends PPT, 'personalism'. But still remain some traditional ideas.
I think, this idea is not tradition, just our hope. Today, almost people work everyday for themselves or their children. However, may be they don't like working. But, they think future better than now, all things are connected happiness. Old and new people have wanted personal happiness.

ReplyDeleteI think Korean society have undergone progressively changes for the past several years. For example, My grand father said, "Woman should be pregnant and raise their children.". But, the young men of today think that woman have right to self-realization. On the other side, Our society set store by tradition. Because we value our family.
Today korea is very fast. so tradition and new trand are mixed. especially woman right is extended. traditional woman is devote for famliy. but now woman is more important personal happyiness than famliy devotion. maybe the reason is korea's suddenly change.

ReplyDeleteMost 2A class's students and all the Native english students disagree that for women, having children is more important than having a successful career. in former days, our county(korea) was most important that having children. however, in the present, It is not the most important. Individual's successful career and happiness is more important than having children. and, this ideas will continue.
I think Korea society is a change.

In the past, Education is more important than experience in china.Because at that time pepole had not realized that the experience is more important. Now The society needs to have the rich experience person.

ReplyDeleteIn recent days, Sometimes we have a tendency to ignore elder people.
And a sentence of that questions - 'For women, having a succesful career.', The result were Agree:40 and Disagree:60.(Graphs of all student) It shows we still have conservative idea. and It connects the idea that 'Important of family loyalty'. I don't know how far It'll continue, but I think koreans changing more open.
54% of the 2A class students think science is vore important than art. And 51% of the all students think sicence is more valuable than art. As a result of the survey, students importance of sience and art are almost same.
ReplyDeleteIn the past, most of the koreans didn't have deep interest about art. But in these days, many koreans have interested in art. Then the importance of sience and art are almost same.
These days, some young people do not respect the elders in Korea, so it is issued in the society. I think this is same in other Asian countries.
